The only photo I have on this laptop
of Poole. The Others I took are stuck
on the HDD of a PC I built. That failed.
Back when I was first in a wheelchair at the tender age of 23. (I'm one month from 27 at the moment) I travelled across the south coast of England on a train to Poole. At the time it was the furthest journey I'd made in a wheelchair alone. I arrived early because I didn't know the way from the train station to the place we were meeting. The Thistle hotel on the quay. So thanks to GPS (I was then using the iPhone - before it was too common) I rolled my way down the high street and onto the water front. I arrived about an hour before anyone else. I was a bit apprehensive about meeting the group.

At the time it was the Poole Ataxia Support group, I have the Friedrich's flavour,  it's now the Dorset Ataxia Branch of Ataxia UK.

We met monthly and talked a bit. Over a meal -usually Sunday lunch. It was good to have some social interaction that was natural rather than people being obliged like the PAs/Carers and the odd students at university; in the fresher halls and on the course. There where the idiots I would meet in clubs. That's another story.

A lot of photos I thought I had for this post are on my PC. I used to build PCs. It's too difficult now. Lining up Pins, Screwing the Printed Boards together and carefully squeezing out the thermal paste and latching on the heatsinks. All feats that are so difficult now. It's better to just buy a Laptop. Anyway I think my GeForce card didn't agree with the cola I knocked from my desk atop the pc. Which flowed through the USB ports that where in the top of the case. All I know is it needs work and most important stuff was in the cloud.
